I'm As Free As My Hair

It's my birthday! The office threw me a lil' celebration including delicious cake, ice cream, chips and fresh salsa. Delish! There were presents and balloons and the traditional Bev Rec birthday hat. It was awesome and I thank everyone wholeheartedly.

The summer is heating up and everyone from Margaret Hall to Steve Lunn has been in the office, working hard to plan the best activities for their programs. Woo-hoo! Get that paperwork in, folks!!

Stay Classy, JMel

Josh Melanson has left the building. Our loyal and hardworking HRMC has left us for a more grown up and health care providing job in IT at Sports Medicine North. We miss him terribly, but we’re psyched to have Jocelyn Cassola in his place. Anyway, in celebration of Josh’s last week, we did some awesomely fun things. On Monday we partook in a sundae explosion at Putnam Pantry…

On Thursday we threw the Josh-inator a big partay. There was cake…

We played mini golf on the sweet course Josh built…

We ate a Super Sub lunch...

Josh was blessed with many gifts (iTunes for the DJ)…

...and Skev modeled an old gas mask found in the Carriage House.

Good times! Best of luck, Joshie! Come back and visit often!

What a Babe!

We had a teeny, little, future camper in the office today...

Oh, and Mary O'Neill was here too... :)

May Days

I know, I know… it’s been too long since we rapped at ya. Well things have been crazy at Bev Rec and eight hours just aren’t enough time in the work day to design the brochure, update the website, go to meetings, interview, learn this new cell phone, build a mini golf course, feed the homeless, apprehend Gaddafi and hang chili pepper lights in honor of Cinco de Mayo.

Do you have Battle of Puebla plans? Let us know, submit a comment!

The last poll indicates that 62% of you find standardized tests to be useless and 37% of you think they're awesome. Very interesting. New Cinco de Mayo poll, check it out and vote NOW!

Anyway, we've interviewed all candidates for summer jobs and made our placement decisions. Thank you to everyone who applied. You are all honorable, young men and women with a lot of enthusiasm and talents to share. In the end, there were more applicants than jobs to fill. We hope everyone has an awesome summer, no matter where you work. Letters should be in your mailboxes over the weekend.

Enjoy these pictures from our last few weeks in the office…
